*crazy* build idea
yo, as mentioned above, this build idea is kinda different...havent tested it and really dont know how well it will work, so just decided to post to see what u guys think.
This build is really intended for both PvE and PvP
The build is as follows:
N/R
Death magic: 16 (12+1+3)
Wilderness Survival: 12
Soul Reaping: Rest
Exploit nearest corpse to animate a level 1-14 Bone Fiend. Bone Fiends can attack at range.
2. Taste of Death
Steal 100-340 health from target animated undead ally.
3. Verata's Sacrifice
Sacrifice10% of maximum health. For 8-18 seconds, all undead allies gain 10 health regeneration. All conditions are removed from those allies and transfered to you.
4. Blood of the Master
Sacrifice 10% max Health. All adjacent undead allies are healed for 30-99.
5. Barbed Trap
When Barbed Trap is triggered, all foes in the area take 20-56 piercing damage, become "Crippled" and begin "Bleeding" for 3-21 seconds. Barbed Trap ends after 90 seconds. While activating this skill, you are easily interrupted.
6. Flame Trap
When Flame Trap is triggered, for 3 seconds all foes in the area are struck for 15-27 Fire damage, and set on fire for 1-3 second. Flame Trap automatically triggers after 90 seconds. While activating this skill, you are easily interrupted.
7. Healing Spring
For 10 seconds, all allies in the area are healed for 15-51 Health every 2 seconds. This action is easily interrupted.
8. Rez Sig
I Suppose a problem with the build could be energy management, but hopefully Soul Reaping can cover it
So uh, what u guys think? Again, it is kinda crazy, but hey i was bored

Soul Reaping would get 3 +1 from rune for all of 4 energy when something dies so lower Wilderness Survival to 11 and increase SR.
You may have some trouble with traps and fiends as the fiends will run to get in range of the monsters and the monsters may never reach the traps. Unless I'm missing the "how to" part of the build?

Well does healing spring work for minnions though? but ya i guess it doesnt matter anyway, so ya i would replace it with troll ungent.
as for the monsters never reaching the traps, well ya i guess that could happen, but i guess you could also place the traps next to the monsters, however, in PvP i think it would be a different story with the traps...necros seem to be a prime target

I was assuming PvE where you would lay traps and pull the monsters over them. PvP is a different story.
How well do MM's work in PvP? Are there enough corpses to make it worth it? Perhaps bring a pet with just charm animal instead of Blood of the Master since you are not likely to heal them with it. Pet dies = 1 corpse.
Also for PvP you would need a stance to avoid having your traps interrupted all the time.

so in other words forget it
but while on subject, anyone have any ideas of a N/R? obviously a trapper is not the way to go, possibly (again just throwing something out) a MM with a ranger pet?

that might work, as an E/R would, just get the attention on the pet and cast away!! although if the attention was caught on you it might turn to shit. So the N/R as a MM doesnt sound like a good idea, now N/R as a Blood... THAT has some potential.

n/r with blood could work but maybe not in this case...
for example a necro with OoB and serpents quickness along with some quick dmg moves could reck swerous havock in pvp... trust me
